ICWF "Off The Ropes" with Peter Hartin – August 20^{th, 2008 Edition}

Welcome to the 10th edition of ICWF "Off The Ropes" with Peter Hartin. It’s been a complete month since the last "Off the Ropes" was released so I decided to release a new one. This past Saturday August 16th was ICWF Beer Bash 2008 at Chiq’s Bar in St. Petersburg, Florida. The show was a complete success even with a few minor setbacks. One being the fact that the ceiling ended up being lower than originally expected which meant a lot of moves were eliminated. But the superstars prevailed and put on a show that will go down in the ICWF history books.

The first match of the night was Delicious Danny Darling facing off against Bourbon Dragon. I witnessed firsthand the lengths both men went to in order to win. Bourbon Dragon mainly focused on Danny’s left knee trying to weaken it in an effort to stop the onslaught from Danny. However his plan proved to be unsuccessful as the ending saw Danny dodge an impressive spinning kick from Bourbon Dragon and hit an RKO out of nowhere for the 3-count.

Before the second match started The Hollywood Horror Jude Mackenzie came out and talked about how women shouldn’t be competing in professional wrestling instead they should be making his dinner, folding his clothes, washing dishes, and tending to his every need. Well Ms. TnT didn’t take too kindly to that as she came out and confronted Mackenzie. The two brawled for a while ending in Ms. TnT rolling Mackenzie up and getting the win. Mackenzie demanded a rematch and Ms. TnT accepted. Both competitors battled it out in some unforeseen situations including Ms. TnT cornering Mackenzie in the corner and delivering some devastating chops to his chest. In the end Ms. TnT hit a neck breaker on Mackenzie for the victory.

The third match of the night featured the East Street Elite taking on the team of Pretty Fly and Ray Beez for the vacant ICWF Florida Tag Team Titles. Both teams fought back and forth with each team getting the upper hand. In the end however the numbers game became the advantage for East Street Elite leading into their victory and becoming new tag team champions.

The fourth match of the night was Fabulous Frankie Fontaine taking on Superhero Mark Zout. Both men each had moments of offense and defense. At one point Frankie connected with a standing Powder Puff Splash on Mark Zout but it didn’t prove effective to secure the victory. Zout’s strength and size eventually played a key factor in his win over Frankie.

Before the Main Event began Shannon Rose announced to the fans in attendance that there was a special guest in the audience. He informed them that the ICWF’s Inside Reporter was present and had a presentation for the ICWF. After he announced that I entered the ring. I began by saying that the ICWF has been running for almost 7 years now and on September 5th, 2008 it will officially be 7 years of the ICWF delivering excellent and top notch wrestling and entertainment to both North Carolina and Florida fans. I unveiled the acrylic plaque that I had brought to present to the ICWF. I told the fans that there was only one person I knew of to present this plaque to and that was the ICWF’s Prodigal Son, Valek.

Valek came out and entered the ring. He thanked me for the plaque and informed the fans of how long he’d been with the ICWF and how much the plaque means to him. Before I could exit the ring Sedrick Strong’s music started and Sedrick came to the ring. Upon entering the ring he walked straight towards me and shoved me to the mat of the ring. The strength and power that Sedrick put behind that shove left me unable to safely exit the ring and walk backstage under my own power. The referee and a security guard assisted me in exiting the ring and getting back to the backstage area.

After that the main event began. The hatred between these two men couldn’t be contained inside the ring as they ended up brawling all over the area. Whether it was a fan pouring water on Sedrick Strong, or few chops to the chest. The two brought it back in the ring where chops and punches were exchanged. It looked like Valek was going to pick up the victory but the East Street Elite came out to the ring. Fetish and Josh Masters distracted the referee as Eddie Taurus delivered a devastating chair shot to Valek. The referee brought his attention back to Sedrick and Valek just as Sedrick was slowly inching his way over to Valek’s motionless body to pin him for the win. Thus, Sedrick Strong became the ICWF Florida Heavyweight Champion. After the match the East Street Elite entered the ring and started beating down on Valek until Ms. TnT and Delicious Danny Darling ran out to the aid of Valek.
